Ragnhild Sannes earned her master’s degree at the Barratt Due Institute of Music in Oslo studying under Bjørn Solum (principal cellist of the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra). She is an active chamber musician throughout Norway. In addition to touring with Trio Turmo, she has played several concerts at the Festspillene in Bergen with music by Hvoslef, recorded music by Hvoslef and Vaage, played a world premiere with the young composer, Torbjørn Arnesen, at nyMusikk Bergen, and performed Mozart’s Piano Quartet in G-Minor. She has also appeared in concert with musicians from the Sjøforsvarets Musikkorps and the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra, as well as the Bergen Young String Quartet. Ragnhild has been invited to play with the Sarah Chaksad Ensemble in Switzerland in September 2019 in a newly formed, Norwegian string quartet. She has played with orchestras including the Trondheimssolistene, Stavanger Symphony Orchestra, Oslo Camerata, Ensemble Allegria and Opera Bergen.
